The Venue Berlin supports entrepreneurs, journalists, artists, and companies in the field of music and audio technology.
We offer a recording studio and a stage. The Venue Berlin is a room to let your ideas grow and meet interesting new people. We roll out concerts, workshops, showcases and more.
The Venue Berlin is here to offer support and create synergies through mentoring, access to our network and facilities, and investment opportunities (via our partner accelerator APX, media for equity deals or investments via other Axel Springer departments).
We are particularly interested in scalable business models in the following fields:
assisting artists to be creative
creating and curating content and context
connecting artists and consumers
augmenting sound experience
managing rights

THE STORY
We are located in the heart of Kreuzberg at Mehringdamm 33, next door to the editorial teams of Rolling Stone, Musikexpress and Metal Hammer, whom we frequently collaborate with.
We aim to create exciting ways of storytelling and compelling formats around audio and video.
THE STAGE
The Venue Berlin is a place for acoustic shows, gatherings and open debates. Some events we have hosted before:
Rolling Stone TALK with artists like R.E.M., Gisbert zu Knyphausen, Flake (Rammstein), David Byrne and Ólafur Arnalds;
Yellow Lounge piano concert with Daniil Trifonov;
Future of Hard Rock: Metal Hammer presents Joey Jordison;
Rolling Stone screening of Let’s Play Two starring Pearl Jam and It Must Schwing, the Story of Blue Note;
An exclusive event with Rolling Stone & Generation Riesling with Tom Schilling & The Jazz Kids;
Workshop program in collaboration with the DO School, where we brought together 20 socially minded entrepreneurs to decide on the future of audio;
After Work Sessions every two weeks where we host a panel on a topic pertaining to the future of audio or music tech.
THE STUDIO
Are you looking for a studio to record your podcast or audio production?
Our studio is the perfect place for media production. The professional audio and video equipment enables you to live-stream, live-record and post-produce your project.
Linked with a stage box, it also provides the sound-mix for our events. At the moment different podcasts projects are produced in the studio.
